Battings, Threads & Needles

Bring your battings, threads and needles to see what you can use and what should be “set aside”. Pat covers those that are best to use for hand or machine quilting, piecing and appliqué.

Fusible Appliqué

Bring a minimum amount of supplies to create a small wall hanging. Pat will cover different types of fusible products and their recommended applications.

Thread Painting

Begin with a fabric motif- a flower, animal, etc. Then choose threads in any color. Learn how to turn these threads into paint by using your sewing machine needle as a paint brush. “Playing” with the free motion of your machine, you will create a thread painted appliqué that can be used for clothing or on a wall hanging. We will cover tips & hints on needles, stabilizers and decorative threads.

Machine Needle Lace

Have fun creating a piece of lace with leftover decorative threads and a special stabilizer. Using the free motion of your machine, you will create a piece of lace that can be used for embellishments on quilts or clothing. We will cover tips & hints on needles, stabilizers and decorative threads.
