Doors in Old San Juan

This is a “Fabric Photo Quilt.” While walking in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, Pat was taken by the rich wood colors and old arched doors in the city. The photos, taken by Pat, are printed on fabric and the edges cut to look like actual older photos.

The rich “Skydyes” fabric creates the background that is bordered by another “Skydyes” fabric that resembles the red brown color of the wood. Gold speckled batik prairie points and narrow piping adds texture to this piece. Angular quilting outlines the prairie points.
